Project Concept: Community Bookstore as a Micro-Urban Prototype
Designed as a catalyst for urban revitalization, this community bookstore reimagines public space in the post-pandemic era. Built around a modular framework constructed from welded steel rebar and industrial shelving units, the space seamlessly adapts to host authors, collectors, and local creators.
Rather than functioning merely as a place for commerce, the bookstore serves as a flexible cultural anchor—transforming dynamic micro-units into spaces for open lectures, seminars, workshops, and live performances. By cultivating shared interests and encouraging spontaneous social interaction, the project proposes a scalable spatial prototype to help heal post-pandemic urban isolation and restore vibrant neighborhood life.
